AP PGECET 2019: AP Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test

AP PGECET

AP PGECET is also known as Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test.

AP PGECET 2019 is conducted by Andhra University.

Candidates interested in postgraduate engineering, pharmacy and planning courses can apply for the exam, selected students can get admission in its Visakhapatnam campus, the exam is a state level entrance test.

AP PGECET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

In order to register for the AP PGECET 2019 entrance exam, the candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria, the university has decided the following criteria in order to get admission:

Marks in qualifying examinationA minimum aggregate score of 45% marks  (40% for SC/ST category).
Qualifying ExamThe Candidate should have studied B.E/B.Tech in any engineering college.
Domicile RequirementThe candidates from the state of Andhra Pradesh or AP domiciled candidates will be able to apply for AP PGECET 2019.
NationalityOnly Resident of India are eligible.

 

AP PGECET 2019 Exam pattern

In this section, candidates can find all the details regarding the pattern of the examination.

  • Mode of Exam: The mode of the exam will be offline. (Pen and Paper Based Test).
  • Language: The language of the question paper will be the English.
  • Question Paper Type: The questions asked will be objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
  • No. of Questions: The question paper will contain a total of 120 questions.
  • No. of Sections: The question paper will have 14 sections and candidates will have to attempt only 1 relevant to their course.
  • Duration of Exam: The exam will be of 2 hours duration.
  • Marking Scheme: For every correct answer, 1 mark will be allotted.
  • Negative Marking: No negative marking will be done.

AP PGECET 2019 Syllabus

AP PGECET syllabus 2019 consist of 14 different papers, therefore, the syllabus is different for every course, students should check the syllabus of the course they are appearing for. The syllabus will include all the important topics that will be asked in the examination.


AP PGECET 2019 Application Form

The details regarding the registration of AP PGECET 2019 are given below:

  • The eligible candidates will be able to apply for AP PGECET 2019 only through online mode.
  • The candidates will have to fill all the important details such as name and address of the candidate along with the educational qualifications.
  • The candidates are also required to submit their scanned photo and signature.
  • Once the application form has been filled, the fee for application form has to be paid.
  • In case of late submission of the application form, candidates will have to pay a fine along with application fee.
  • Candidates can pay the application fee using a debit card, credit card, net banking or Demand Draft (DD).
  • Once the form is filled, the candidates should take out the printout of the filled-in application form for future references.


AP PGECET 2019 Admit Card

The candidates that successfully qualify the AP PGECET 2019 eligibility criteria will be able to download the admit card from the university official website, the admit card will be published in the month of may, in order to download the admit card the candidate will have to enter their registration number and select their respective course.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card along with themselves while arriving at the examination centre, failing to do so will result in expulsion from the exam.


AP PGECET 2019 Result

After the exam has been successfully commenced the result will be declared on the university official website, the candidates will be able to check whether they qualify for the examination or not.

The result will be declared in June, After the result has been declared, the candidates will be able to download their rank card after few days.


AP PGECET 2019 Counselling

The candidates that will successfully qualify the examination by attaining 25% marks of the total marks will be called for the counselling of AP PGECET 2019.

The candidate has to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST candidates) only after which they will be able to verify their documents/certificates.
