CIFNETCIFNET which stands for Central Institute of Fisheries, Nautical & Engineering Training offers various courses like Vessel Navigator Course (VNC) / Marine Fitter Course (MFC) and Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc) program etc.

CIFNET is maintained by the Department of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry of the Government of India.

There is a common entrance conducted for admission to the course mentioned above. The faculty of this institute is one of the most qualified faculties in and around India.

CIFNET 2019 Application Form

Filling the application form is the first step while applying for an entrance exam and knowing the details about the application form is a must before applying for the entrance exam so we have mentioned the important details about the application form of CIFNET 2019 in this section.

CIFNET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

This section contains the important details about the eligibility criteria of CIFNET 2019.

For Bachelor of Fishery Science (B.F.Sc (N.S))

  • Qualifying Exam: The candidate applying for the entrance exam should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in English and Maths and other Science subjects. There is no minimum percentage for SC students.
  • Age: The minimum and the maximum age to apply for the entrance exam is 17 years and 20 years as on 1st October 2019.
  • Appearing Candidates: The candidates appearing in the qualification exam are also eligible.

For Vessel Navigator Course (VNC) & Marine Fitter Course (MFC)

  • Qualifying Exam: The candidate should have passed 10th class with a minimum of 40% marks in Science and Maths separately.
  • Age: The minimum age 16 years and the maximum age is 20 years as on 1st August 2019.
  • Appearing Candidates: The candidates appearing in the qualification exam are also eligible.

CIFNET 2019 Exam Pattern

Bachelor of Fishery Science (Nautical Science) (B.F.Sc (N.S))

  • Mode of Examination: Offline
  • Type of Questions: Objective type Questions.
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be cut for each wrong answer.

Vessel Navigator Course (VNC) & Marine Fitter Course (MFC)

  • Mode of Examination: Offline
  • Type of Questions: Objective type Questions.
