CIFNET 2024: CIFNET which stands for Central Institute of Fisheries, Nautical & Engineering Training offers various courses like the Vessel Navigator Course (VNC) / Marine Fitter Course (MFC) and Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc) program, etc. CIFNET is maintained by the Department of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry of the Government of India.

CIFNET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

This section contains important details about the eligibility criteria for CIFNET 2024.

For Bachelor of Fishery Science (B.F.Sc (N.S))

  • Qualifying Exam: The candidate applying for the entrance exam should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in English and Maths and other Science subjects. There is no minimum percentage for SC students.
  • Age: The minimum and the maximum age to apply for the entrance exam are 17 years and 20 years as of 1st October 2024.
  • Appearing Candidates: The candidates appearing in the qualification exam are also eligible.

For Vessel Navigator Course (VNC) & Marine Fitter Course (MFC)

  • Qualifying Exam: The candidate should have passed 10th class with a minimum of 40% marks in Science and Maths separately.
  • Age: The minimum age is 16 years and the maximum age is 20 years as on 1st August 2024.
  • Appearing Candidates: The candidates appearing in the qualification exam are also eligible.
