PAU 2018: Punjab Agricultural University Entrance Exam

Punjab Agricultural University Entrance Exam is conducted by PAU to provide admissions to all undergraduate, Master’s Diploma and PhD programmes. AAT, CET, MET etc. are the tests that are conducted by Punjab Agricultural University.

Only the domiciles of Punjab or union territories of Chandigarh are eligible to apply.

The application form will be available in online on the official website of the university as well as in offline mode from the PAU campus counter.

The tests will be conducted for the following courses

Agriculture Aptitude Test consists of B.Sc, Agriculture 6-year Programme at Bathinda and Gurdaspur

Common Entrance Test (CET) consists of B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Tech(Biotechnology), B.Tech – food technology, B.Sc. Communication science, B.Sc Nutrition, and Dietetics, 5year integrated M.Sc. in Bio chemistry, Botony, Chemistry, Microbiology, Zoology Programmes.

Following is the information related to Common Entrance Test

  • The test will be of 3 hours
  • The medium of paper – English
  • Consists of 3 sections
03Mathematics/biology/agriculture/home science
  • Section 1 and 2 comprises of 66 question
  • Each question carries one mark
  • Both these sections are compulsory for all the candidates
  • Section 3 consists of 68 questions of one mark each subject in section 3 except mathematics
  • Mathematics consists of 34 questions each of 2 marks.

PAU 2018 Syllabus

Agriculture aptitude: vernacular language about land measurements, cultivation of various Rabi and Kharif crops, fruits and vegetables, important fertilizers, farm hand tools, implements, weeds, general agriculture and allied activities

General science: 9th and 10th syllabus of CBSE OR Indian Certificate of Secondary Education or Punjab School Education Board.

PAU 2018 Application Form

Candidates can apply both in online as well as offline mode.

Online Application Form Process:

  • Eligible candidates can fill the application that is available in online and offline mode
  • Should read instructions carefully before proceeding to fill  the application form
  • Candidates should fill all the basic details in the application form
  • Candidate should mention the programme in which the candidate wants to take admission
  • Candidates are required to provide qualifying results along with personal details
  • The photograph should be affixed on the application form
  • The last date of submitting application form will be 2nd week of May 2018
  • Verify all the filled details before submitting.
  • Students have to pay the application fee in order to submit the application form.
  • Candidates may opt for internet banking
  • take the printout of “confirmation page” after successful submission of application fee and keep it safe for further references.
  • Candidates can also pay the application fee in offline mode
  • Candidates should pay the application fee at any counter of PAU campus or by post.

  • Prospectus and entrance examination fee is Rs. 3995.


  • Prospectus from the counter: Rs.1595
  • Prospectus through the post: Rs.1705
  • Examination fee: Rs.2860

PAU 2018 Admit Card

Admit card will be issued during the 1st week of June 2018.

It can be downloaded through online mode from the official website of PAU.

Admit card contains the basic details of the applying candidate such as candidate name, address, seat number, centre etc.

In order to download the admit card, the candidate needs to fill in the details such as their Date of Birth, Student UID, prospectus number.

It is mandatory for students to bring in the admit card to write the test.

It is suggested to keep the admit card with the student until all the process of admission gets completed.

PAU 2018 Result

Results will be published on the university official website i.e.

Exam participants can check their results on the official website.

Candidates have to enter their details to view the results.

Only the qualified students are eligible to appear in PAU Entrance Exam 2018 counselling.

The counselling process will be strictly based on the performance of the students in the desired branch.

PAU 2018 Counselling

Counselling will begin in a few days after the declaration of result.

All the eligible candidates will be invited for counselling.

Counselling will be conducted in two rounds for the eligible candidates.

Eligible candidates need to fill the application form along with the result that will be available on its official website.

Admissions will be strictly based on the marks obtained by the candidates.

Qualified candidates should bring all the original documents with them.
