SNAP Test 2024: Eligibility Criteria, Qualification Required

SNAP Eligibility Criteria: SNAP is the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test. Conducted every year by Symbiosis International University for providing admission to the applicants in its various MBA courses for the session 2024 – 2025. SNAP Test is a National level Entrance Exam.

A total of 15 institutes of SIU are accepting the scores of the SNAP Test 2024 for admission into MBA/MSc (CA)/MSc (SS). Admission to the candidates is based on the performance of the candidate in the SNAP Test and GDPI WAT.

SNAP 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Symbiosis International University (SIU) has laid out the eligibility criteria for SNAP 2024 that every candidate needs to follow in order to get admission.

Criteria Eligibility
Qualification Students must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks.

 

 

OR

The students in their final year are also eligible.

For the students who have studied from any Foreign University are required to obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Minimum Marks Candidates belonging to General Category must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks.
Candidates belonging to a Reserved Category must have obtained at least 45% marks in bachelor.
Age There is no age limit to apply for SNAP.
Nationality Indian Nationals, as well as Foreign Nationals/ PIO/ OCI/ NRI, are also eligible to apply.

      • Students who have completed a qualifying degree from any Foreign University, the equivalence certificate would be issued by the Equivalence Division of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the contact details of which are as under:

      • The students applying for the admission needs to make sure that they meet SNAP Eligibility required for the particular course they are applying for.

      • The students who have been provisionally admitted can be expelled at a later step if they don’t meet the requisite criteria.

      • Provisional admission does not guarantee that the student is admitted to the course.

      • Final eligibility of every student is in the hands of the Symbiosis International University.

    A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

    Master of Business Administration (Business Analytics) Candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from any statutory/recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST Candidates). 2 Years full-time work experience after completion of graduation.

     

     

    A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

    SIIB Master of Business Administration (Agri Business) Candidate should be a graduate from any statutory University in Agri Sciences or Agri related discipline with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in the qualifying examination.

     

     

    OR

    Non-Agri graduates from any statutory University with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in the qualifying examination with a basic understanding of agriculture and agribusiness and a keen interest in the same are also eligible to apply. Such candidates need to demonstrate their understanding and interest in agribusiness during the selection process. Candidates with relevant work experience will be given preference.

    OR

    Non-Agri graduates from any statutory University with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks at Graduate level and having a family business in agriculture and allied sector will also be considered eligible for admission.

    Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.

    A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

    Master of Business Administration (Energy and Environment) Candidate should be a graduate from any statutory University with a minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) in Engineering / Geology / Economics / Petroleum / Energy & Environment Science / Bio-Chemistry / Architecture. Other graduates with full-time work experience of more than one year after graduation in Energy and Environment sector are also eligible to apply.

     

     

    Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.

    A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

    SIMS Master of Business Administration Candidate should be a graduate from any statutory university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) at graduation level.

     

     

    Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.

    Defence category candidates should be children/ward/spouse of Defence personnel.

    A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

    SIOM – Nashik Master of Business Administration (Operations Management) Candidate should be an Engineering Graduate (BE/ BTech in any stream) from a statutory University with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.

     

     

    A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

    SCIT Master of Business Administration (Data Sciences & Data Analytics) Candidate should be a graduate of any faculty with Mathematics at +2 level of any statutory University with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) at qualifying examination.

     

     

    A candidate who has completed qualifying qualifications from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

    SNAP 2024 Reservation Criteria

    The reservation policy for claiming seats in SNAP 2024 is to be followed as per the UGC Guidelines/Regulations. The UGC guidelines are not followed by the Symbiosis Institutes of Management Studies since it follows its own guidelines and rules.

    SNAP Reservation of Seats for various categories is indicated in the table below.

    Note: Candidates applying under the reserved category need to provide valid supporting documents at the time of GE-PIWAT (in case they are shortlisted).

    Seat Reservation within the Intake

    There is reservation for certain categories within the sanctioned intake as approved by the admission committee of the Symbiosis International University.

    Defence Category (General) 80% of the seats are reserved for dependent children or wards of Defence personnel, based on their merit
    Defence Category (Special) 10% seats are reserved for candidates dependent on the Defence personnel who were killed during war, having more than half disability or impairment. This reservation will be also based on merit only
    Open Category Candidates who come under the civilian category and are recommended by the Industry are entitled to 10% seats, but that too is totally on the basis of merit

    SIU 2024 Seat Reservation Over and Above Intake

    For Officers of Armed Forces presently serving study leave as approved by their respective Services Head Quarters, automated admission is granted.


    SNAP Eligibility 2024 for International Applicants

    Students from the below categories are eligible to apply for SNAP:

        1. Foreign National: The foreign national is a person who permanently lives out of India and does not carry the citizenship of India. He/She, in order to fall under this category, must carry a foreign passport and needs to be a citizen of a country other than India.

        1. Person of Indian Origin (PIO): The person who is not a citizen of India but holds a Person of Indian Origin Card (PIO) can apply for admission under than this category.

        1. Overseas Citizen of India (OCI): A person having an OCI card and also the overseas citizenship of India. (Overseas Citizen of India are Persons of Indian Origin of certain categories who migrated from India and acquired citizenship of a foreign country, other than Pakistan and Bangladesh.)

        1. Non-Resident Indian (NRI): A person is considered to be an NRI if he/she has given the 10+2 or graduation exam from a country outside of India. It is mandatory that the applicant should have completed at least one of the 2 qualifying exams outside India.

      Note: The Postgraduate applicants who fall under the purview of the NRI category and have given their graduation exams in India should compulsorily give SNAP.

      Special Criteria for International Applicants in SNAP 2024

          • The applicants applying under Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO category should have cleared an English Proficiency Test.

          • The candidates will have the choice to appear either for IELTS (conducted by British Council) or IELA (conducted by Symbiosis).

          • The applicant will have to score band 6 for IELTS and band 4 for IELA.

          • The Symbiosis International University will decide the final eligibility of the candidate, after submit of all the requisite documents.

          • International Candidates while applying for the test must have the following documents along with them:
                1. Form – A

                1. Passport Copy and Visa Copy along with the arrival stamp page

                1. Proof of Residence (Leave & License agreement/C Form should be submitted within 24 hours to FRO ‘C’ window)

                1. Bonafide Certificate and Letter of Provisional Admission from the University College/Institution in case of a student visa
