SRFTI is an entrance which is conducted every year to grant admissions to various courses like producing Film and television, direction, screenplay writing, cinematography, animation cinema, editing sound recording, and design.

SRFTI got its name after the famous film star Satyajit Ray.

SRFTI always encourages the film creativity that one posses.

It has become a centre of excellence offering postgraduate programs in cinematic studies and television.

Through this exams students are placed at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute itself.

Eligible and interested candidates can apply through the application that is available in online mode and by providing all the details and relevant information.

All the applicants have to write the written test.

SRFTI 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Applying candidates should match the following criteria in order to apply or to appear in entrance exam.

• Applicant should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university
• Should possess good skills in drawing

• The exam will be of 3 hours
• Answers have to be written in the English language
• There will be a total of 15 centres

SRFTI 2023 Syllabus

60% – 65% of the paper contains Indian Cinema in Section A

In Section B you will be given an Image and you need to write a story regarding it

Section C consists of the questions from the specific field you have applied for.

SRFTI 2023 Application Form

• Candidates should the prospectus carefully that is available on the official website.
• Candidates should make sure that they eligible to apply.
• Candidate can apply in online mode
• The online application form is available on the official website.

• Before filling of the application form, the candidate should register by filling up email id and password
• The student should fill all the required information
• The student should upload all the relevant documents
• A recent photograph of the student must be attached to the application form
• Photograph of dimensions 140*170 pixels
• Category certificate of 800*1100 pixels if applicable
• Challan Image 1100*800pixels
• The student should pay the application fee in order to successfully register for the examination
• Without the payment of application fee, no student will be given permission registered to give the exam
• Should take the print out after successfully registering and should preserve for future use

SRFTI 2023 Admit Card

Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute will issue admit card before the date of examination.

It can be downloaded through online mode from the official website of SRFTI i.e.srfti.ac.in.

Admit card contains the basic details of the applying candidate such as candidate name, candidate signature, photograph, test related information, address, time, seat number, centre etc.

In order to download the admit card, the candidate needs to fill in the details such as registration number that will be provided to you at the time of registration. Admit card is a very very important document.

The student should keep the admit card safely, it is totally his responsibility to keep the admit card safe.

It is mandatory for students to bring in the admit card to write the test.

It is suggested to keep the admit card with the student till all the process of admission gets completed.

The student should show the admit card whenever the examiner asks for it.

SRFTI 2023 Result

Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute releases the result after the examination on the official website of SRFTI.

A shortlist will be released by SRFTI on its official site. Results will be declared during the 3^rd week of June tentatively

SRFTI 2023 Counselling

The admission process will go through consecutive three days

Shortlisted candidates are divided into two groups

Group 1: Students looking for admission in Post Graduate programme in cinema

Group 2: Post Graduate programme in Television

Shortlisted candidates for Group 1 will go through interactive orientation course and shortlisted candidates for Group 2 should appear for an Interview

Selection is based on the following

Written test – 25%

Interactive Orientation – 50%

Interview – 25%
